Veterinarian/Owner
Ryan Svoboda, DVM was born and raised in the Valley of the Sun. Working alongside his father, a veterinarian, he knew at a very young age that he had a passion for veterinary medicine and wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Dr. Ryan Svoboda received his undergraduate in Agribusiness from Arizona State University, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Svoboda and his wife Liz have been married for 12 years, and as one might expect, they have a multitude of animals at home including, two cats, a rough collie (just like reveille), a chiweenie, a puggle, and a plethora of fish, including a 240 gallon salt water tank now featured in our new office at 808 North Hayden Road, immediately south of our main facility. They are also the very proud parents to both their sons, Tristan Luke and Desmond James. They are currently expecting their third child early in 2024.
While he loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Svoboda especially enjoys dermatology, advanced imaging, and practicing exotic medicine (birds, ferrets, reptiles, etc). When he is not devoting time to his beloved pets or patients, he enjoys writing, cooking, hiking with his family, and keeping up with the Arizona Coyotes. Dr. Ryan is also an avid triathlete, completing his first Ironman in 2019 here in Arizona.
As owner of Hayden Road Animal Hospital, Dr. Svoboda is eager to meet both you and your pets and to provide you with the high quality care you deserve.
