Veterinarian
Dr. Vanessa Ulcena was born and raised in the bustling city of West Palm Beach, Florida. She developed a love for animals early in her childhood. She attended Wellington High School in Wellington, FL and was accepted into the pre-vet/ equine program, graduating in 2014. During her undergraduate years, she attended University of South Florida for two years, then transferred to University of Florida to start honing her veterinary studies. She graduated University of Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences.
After finishing her undergraduate studies, she moved to Arizona and studied veterinary medicine at Midwestern University for four years. She graduated in May 2023, earning her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine.
Vanessa’s main focus are dogs and cats, but she also has interest in small pocket pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs. She took a couple of externships specializing in exotics, and would love to care for any extra furry creatures you may have at home.
When Vanessa isn’t working, she is at home playing video games, or outside taking leisurely walks on nature trails and hanging out with colleagues. She is eager, able, and ready to provide outstanding care for your fur babies.
